Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Mostly reported as clean in several reviews, but a notable incident where a room was not cleaned during a two-day stay lowered confidence in consistent housekeeping.

Service

Staff repeatedly described as very friendly, helpful and quick to respond; several guests called out excellent, accommodating service despite a few operational failures (slow breakfast service, issues during an overnight room move).

Location

Multiple guests praised the hotel's prime location (near Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and local transit), making it a strong positive across reviews.

Room Quality

Rooms praised for comfortable, large beds and good views; however an AC failure requiring a late-room move and a lack of timely assistance on one occasion reduced the score slightly.

Amenities

Property and patio praised and hotel is pet-friendly, but several mentions of missing in-room items (no coffee/kettle, no slippers) and minor issues (mosquitoes on patio) indicate amenity gaps.

Value for Money

Value ratings pulled down by reports of incorrect/extra charges (tripled charge from a booking mix-up, $20 bike storage fee) and check-in delays, even though some reimbursements/credits were later applied.

This boutique hotel is in Chelsea, New York. The 28 Street underground station is 3 minutes’ walk away. Free Wi Fi is available. Rooms at Kimpton Hotel Eventi provide a 37” flat-screen TV and mini bar. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness center, meeting facilities, a ticket service, and a tour desk. Guests can dine at The Vine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
