March to May and September to November generally offer comfortable conditions for hiking, although these are also Sedona’s busiest seasons. Summer brings high daytime temperatures and afternoon monsoon storms, making early starts important. Winter is quieter, with cold nights and occasional snow that can highlight the red-rock scenery but affect trails and roads. Accommodation and tours should be reserved early for weekends and public holidays.
